Where We’re Going

Our Vision

We will be a church that helps people find hope, experience community, and live with purpose as “all in” disciples of Jesus.

Definition of the Gospel and an “All In” Disciple

“Gospel” means “good announcement”, specifically that:

  • The Kingdom of God has come through Jesus Christ, who was God’s promised Messiah sent to restore mankind’s relationship with the Father.

  • He died on the cross to pay the debt our sin demanded, was buried in a tomb, and was resurrected on the third day according to the Scriptures.

  • Because of His love and mercy, God saves every man and woman who believes and places their faith in Jesus and the work He did on the cross, who confesses their need for a Savior, who repents of their sinful ways, who is obedient through baptism, and who follows Jesus.

  • When Jesus returns all who have followed Him will enter the eternal Kingdom of God.

Our definition of an “all in” disciple comes from Matthew 4:19, when Jesus said, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

“An all in disciple is someone who knows and follows Jesus, is being changed by Jesus, and is committed to Jesus’ mission.”

Because our mission is to lead people to be “all in” disciples of Jesus, this definition shapes our vision and strategy for making disciples:

  • We believe that as people explore faith and the Church, they will find hope and ultimately follow Jesus.

  • We believe that as people connect to the Church, they will experience community and ultimately grow as a disciple who is being changed by the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that as people engage in the mission of Jesus, they will discover their people and ultimately make disciples of Jesus, fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
