We questioned why God put the desire to be parents so heavily on our hearts if it wasn’t meant to be.  We felt so alone. We had to remind ourselves daily that God has a plan for us. That we need to be patient.

Being away from my family for almost 22 weeks straight isn’t easy. I will be reunited with my family shortly… but through these times, it is my faith in my Father that keeps our family strong. Our faith in God has held us.

The things you put above God, if they take precedence over Jesus, are the very definition of an idol. If you’re a mom or dad, ask yourself, “Am I a parent that makes it apparent that Jesus is the priority in this household?”
